Walking on Sunshine

Hopefully, the weather will be perfect for your stroll, with sunshine and temps in the high 70s to low 80s. Once you get downtown, start at one of the three check-in locations on the Art Stroll Map. From there, you can roam freely in the arts district. You will definitely want to stroll through the museum, theater, and public library. Stop at the African American Shotgun House Museum at 4 PM to celebrate the historic home receive a Preservation Georgetown marker, and stay for live music from Mega’Tune and hot barbecue from Hello Sweetie. Walk over to the Palace Theatre for the artist reception and exhibit featuring a live performance in the Playhouse. Grab a mocktail for the show, plus live music and dance performances.

As the night progresses, head to the library for dessert, cold-brew coffee shots, and live music by Swing Shift. Be sure to check out the Art Hop exhibit inside and play the seek-and-find game for prizes. Kids will really like this game — and may learn something along the way!
