Sidewalk Shopping: Downtown Georgetown Labor Day Sale
Celebrate this Labor Day by supporting local small businesses in downtown Georgetown. You’ll snag some special deals during the weekend-long Sidewalk Sale! Many merchants are clearing out their stores to stock up for the holiday season, so plan your shopping trip early using this handy guide.
The sale starts at noon Friday, Sept. 1, and runs through 5 pm on Monday, Sept. 4. Cruise the sidewalks downtown all weekend to find something for everyone. Consider doing early Christmas shopping and finding unique gifts for upcoming birthdays and anniversaries. Or treat yourself to new clothes and jewelry to update your wardrobe!
You could start at the Broken Attic boutique and crystal shop. Their clothing and accessories are far from ordinary, like a gorgeous handkerchief-hem lace cardigan that reminds us of Stevie Nicks. Plus, crystals and polished stones make unforgettable gifts that add a special touch to any décor. Don’t forget the men on your list! You can find soap, shampoo, candles, and jewelry, specially designed for a masculine touch. The store also carries accessories, books, herbs, and incense.
If you’re looking for jewelry, The Dainty Doe has handmade pieces you won’t find anywhere else. The moon and star opal necklace and earrings are two of our favorites. Or choose a cute initial necklace in a variety of lengths for just about anyone on your list. They also have mother-daughter necklaces and enough bracelets to stack both arms. And you can customize pieces for an even more unique gift!
By then, you may be thinking about lunch. Grab a North Beach pie, wings, and craft beer at 600 Degrees Pizzeria and Drafthouse. Or try a Greek salad with some gourmet cheese bread. You could even chow on the pork shank meal and garlic Parmesan fries!
After lunch, go check out the kids’ stuff. All Things Kids has toys, books, and sweets. Grab an ice cream cone for dessert and browse the puzzles, games, and role-playing outfits perfect for Halloween, which is just around the corner (2023 is flying, right?!).
And there are so many more shops to visit, like The Daytripper, Oolala, and To Have & To Hold. You can find all sorts of travel-related goodies like t-shirts, magnets, stickers, and pennants at Daytripper. Oolala and To Have & To Hold have unique home and gift items.
