Blazin’ Beer Crawl: August 6th in Georgetown
The Blazin’ Beer Crawl is a special event for anyone 21+ in the Georgetown area. It’s a chance to peruse downtown Georgetown as you sample some of the finest craft brews in America. The Crawl will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, in downtown Georgetown.
The Blazin’ Beer Crawl is a choose-your-pace walking event featuring craft beer tastings inside downtown Georgetown’s retail stores and restaurants. There’s no tour group or guides to follow, just a map of participating locations…It’s up to you where you want to go next on your tour.
There are two ticket options for participants of the Crawl. A $25 General Admission Ticket includes a keepsake tasting glass and a map of all of the stops on the beer crawl. A $55 VIP Admission Ticket includes a keepsake tasting glass, event hat, swag bag, and a map of all of the participating merchants (Ticket sales are limited to ages 21 and over; identification will be verified at pickup).
Ticket holders will receive a map of all of the participating locations and can choose which order to sample and visit merchants. A total of 200 VIP and 400 general admission tickets will be available for this event, so don’t wait too long to pick up your tickets.
But what about food? Tasting beers in the summertime on an empty stomach is no bueno…
The organizers have you covered on that front. Hot and spicy snacks will be available at various stops, and restaurants will have event day specials. Food trucks will also be set up during the event so people don’t go crawling on an empty stomach.
Proceeds from The Blazin’ Beer Crawl event benefit the Georgetown Main Street Façade & Sign Grant Program which has awarded over $600,000 in grant funds to downtown business and property owners. This event is a great way to have fun in downtown Georgetown and also help ensure the beauty and architectural integrity of the historic Georgetown Square.
The Blazin’ Beer Crawl is aptly named… It wouldn’t be a south Texas event without the high temperatures! Make sure to start the event fully hydrated and be sure to top off your water (and beer) at each stop to keep yourself in fine form for the entire event.
