Farmers Market

If you’re focusing on health and wellness in the new year, the Farmers Market is the place to be! The WilCo Farmers Market takes place in Downtown Georgetown (402 W. 8th Street Parking Lot) on Thursdays from 10 AM – 2 PM. WilCo is dedicated to bringing Georgetown locals the freshest produce of all kinds. You can also find homegrown local, homegrown specialties including meats, raw honey, baked goods and bread, self-care products, jewelry, and more! This is a great way to support local farmers, small businesses, and the health and wellness of your family with locally-sourced, fresh foods!

Trivia Night

Brush up on your trivia and bring your friends to Red’s Taproom Trivia at the Barking Armadillo brewery, Thursdays at 7 PM! It’s free to play and each round’s winner wins a tasting flight of some of the breweries’ finest beers. It’s a great way to have some fun and learn something new!

Historic Courthouse Tours

Take a trip back in time with a tour of the historic Georgetown Courthouse. Tours are free and last about 45 minutes. They’re also handicapped accessible, making this a great opportunity to learn a bit of history about our unique town and the people and events that made it what it is.

Pistons on the Square Car Show

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! The Pistons on the Square Car Show is a local favorite for all ages. Car enthusiasts will love seeing antique, classic, muscle, and late-model cars and motorcycles in downtown Georgetown. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, January 21 at 8 AM.

The stars at night are big and bright… and Georgetown is a great place to see them! People of all ages are invited to join volunteers from the Williamson County Astronomy Club with telescopes, and/or cameras to help visitors view various stars, planets, and other celestial objects. Enjoy clear skies and find some stellar constellations at our stargazing event, on January 25th at 6:30. Pre-registration is required. Visit Georgetown’s Parks and Recreation website to register.

Quilt Demonstrations

There’s nothing more comforting than the sight and feel of a beautiful homemade quilt. Your grandmothers and great-grandmothers probably made them for themselves or your family, but how do you know the complex process of how they’re made? Handcrafts Unlimited in Georgetown hosts quilting demonstrations on Thursday afternoons! Enjoy the rich heritage of this long-lost art and discover a world of rich fabrics and unique stories in each design. Call (512) 869-1812 or view the event on Georgetown’s event calendar to get more details.
